Brian Lavery is Curator of Naval History at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich
Brian is also the author of many books, including Ship (DK, 2004), published in association with the Nation Maritime Museum.
As a highly respected maritime historian he was consultant on the film Master and Commander, and consulted on the replica constructions of Captain Cook's Endeavour and the emigrant ship Susan Constant.
Brian resides in Greenwich, London.
