Nina Barough

Nina leads groups of power walkers in marathons and walking challenges around the world, helping to raise millions of pounds for charity

Nina Barough has always been intrigued by the relationship and balance between mind and body. She has been a vegetarian from a young age, and studied massage and reiki. She finds power walking a wonderful way to achieving this balance while maintaining her passion for good health and fitness. For many years, she ran her own successful fashion styling and production company.

In 1996 her life changed when she had the idea of power walking The New City Marathon wearing a customised bra in order to raise money for breast cancer research. The idea became a reality and the charity Walk the Walk was born.

Only months later, Nina was diagnosed with breast cancer and her holistic attitude towards healthcare played a vital part in her approach to her treatment and recovery process. Walk the Walk Worldwide follows Nina’s philosophy of life by raising money for breast cancer care and by encouraging people to take responsibility for their own health and well-being.
