Dr Carol Cooper, MA, MB, BCHIR, MRCP, is a prolific medical journalist, TV broadcaster, practising family doctor and mother of three boys, including twins.

She graduated in medicine from Cambridge University and worked as a hospital physician to senior registrar level before entering general practice after the birth of her first child.
She writes for many publications from medical journals to national newspapers and woman's magazines, is consultant medical editor for Baby & You magazine and has written several parenting books. She also broadcasts on medical matters on Sky News and other channels.
Carol resides in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, where she has a practice and her previous DK titles include Johnson's Mother & Baby. She sees parents and children in her consulting room every day working day and has a particular interest in family and child health. She knows from first hand experience what worries parents, and regularly advises on a wide range of childcare problems.
