Elwyn Hartley Edwards

Elwyn Hartley Edwards is one of the most distinguished writers of the past 25 years with some 30 books to his credit and many articles on horse-related subjects
One of his most notable books is Dorling Kindersley's The New Encyclopedia of the Horse. A practical horseman of long experience, he is an expert on equine conformation and an accepted international authority on horse and pony breeds, equipment and saddlery. Riding magazine for 18 years and then, for five years, consultant editor of Horse and Hound.

Formerly a British Horse Society regional chairman and a member of the Society's Council, he was presented with the BHS Award of Merit in 1993.
